The Champion's mentality

There are two men who have made winning their signature tune, and you can't help but admire how they do it. Last Sunday, Floyd Mayweather defeated Manny Pacquiao in what was billed the "Fight of the Century" while Jose Mourinho led Chelsea FC to another English Premier League title with three matches to spare.

The smile of the Champ
If you read about these men, you will discover that they share a winning mentality that distinguishes the great. Mourinho so believes in his abilities that he calls himself the "special one" while Mayweather's mantra is this: "I believe in taking as little punishment as possible." No wonder both men have been described as boring. But it doesn't matter what you are labelled as long as you keep winning.

What this world needs are winners; men and women with a champion's mentality—the belief that you were created to shine like the stars, to be the head and not the tail. When winning is your mentality, it becomes easier to work hard and enjoy life at the top while others settle for dwarfed dreams and live the rest of their lives averagely.

The world needs winners because winners think smart and work hard, thereby inspiring others to do the same. You cannot begin to imagine how many people never try because of a defeatist attitude. They play small and die disappointed yet the story is always different with the change of mindset to that of the winner. The wisest man to live, King Solomon, said as a man thinks in his heart so is he. You have to encourage yourself and learn from the best.

The champion's mentality is what frees the mind to envision great things and gives one the energy to pursue them with the confidence that your destiny is that of victory just like Mourinho and Mayweather and other champions have.
